J17 Productions Gallery of Graphics and Mixed Media Artist: Joey Broyles Joey has an extensive background in the graphic arts. Growing up with his father, a graphic artist, made a lasting impression on the budding artist. Beginning in 1994, Joey experimented with sophisticated design and layout programs such as Photoshop and QuarkXpress. Creative designs and newspaper style layouts turned the everyday book report into top-notch material. Joey's high school years saw the birth of J17 Productions online t-shirt store. In 2004 he was hired as a freelance graphic artist for UW-Whitewater's student run newspaper, the Royal Purple. Joey developed graphics specific to each editors' requests. His artistry remains to this day as the redesigned logo for the newspaper and online component. Presently, Joey works as manager and web designer of a small retail store. He furthers his self-education daily and draws inspiration from his friends, family and surroundings. |
